Well, well.

Just 3 weeks have passed in treatment at Tara. We've had a couple of brief visits with Sarah but the most recent opportunity was "snowed out".

This weekend is crucial but not without conflicting events.

Sarah and I will visit on Saturday while Mom flies to TC, MI to be with her Mother who has been hospitalized for a week with a spinal infection.

Good news and disappointment. Good news: it is time to discuss Sarah's next step plans. My guess, made without benefit of talking with her, is that she'll participate in an extended program that includes progressive privileges including eventually working in the area. Disappointment that next week is the time of transition and her trusted advisor, Mom, will not be available until next week. A family meeting is planned for Monday.

Behavior contracts and consequences have worked well at Tara and continuing them as Sarah transitions to more freedom will be interesting. We hope the learned skills will be reinforced by changes in all of us and with the help of her sponsor and continuing participation in AA.
