Working on the Puzzle

Seeking to break the cycle of use and find a recovery solution, we have connected with Tara, a facility south of Indianapolis. We have a vague solution in mind, a simple one. Get better! We just do not have the power to implement it, to change Sarah's addiction, and to put her on the path to health.

To her credit today (Monday) was better than the hateful heroin drama that played out Sunday. We saw and heard such ugliness that it chilled our hearts. The addict was in high theatre, acting out, thrashing with ugly words, lies, deception, and drug abuse. The power of "craving" made her deperate for a fix. We can recall only one other such desperate episode where she was totally irrationale, fighting with the red-headed (former) BF, etc.

Susan, who is both Sarah's rock and her emotional punching bag, bore the worst while standing firm! Telling an addict "no", seeing through the lies, blocking her doorway, puts your well being at peril. By the end of the evening, they were lying together on the couch watching a movie aptly called Beyond a Reasonable Doubt. All had calmed. Sarah's last thrust of opposition had faded for now.

So study the pyramid and ask yourself, "What next?"

That's what we're doing.
