Woke up 30 hours into the New Year
Susan back 12.5 hours home
Sarah - 3 days!

Strangely we've been watching
Reruns of "House"
While maybe rebuilding a little
"Home"?

Brothers, sister, and relatives
Friends and acquaintances
Have been asking, not prying
Expressing love, concern, and prayer.

Happy New Year.
It can be a new year
Happy
Even if just hours or a few days.

Perhaps only a temporary oasis
Or Bethesda, a place of rest and healing
The open doors and possibilities
The bases for silent pleas to find voice

Choose Life!

What's next we're unsure
No pressure to act, to move, to think
Rest, refresh, build strength
