Do you hear what I hear?
For a CHILD IS BORN to us, and a son is given to us, and the government is upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace.

Fairbanks: Sarah you cannot stay here. You're not interested in recovery. We'll drop you at a shelter.
Susan: Do not call me. Do not ask me to come pick you up. I will not answer the phone. If you choose drugs, if you choose the same evil "friends", if you turn your back on recovery, we will not enable you. This is the end! You're choosing death.
Sarah: (Silence)
Susan: Sarah, you are only alive today because of the prayers of people who know and love you -- and prayers of those who care.
Sarah: I may be alive on the outside but I've been dead on the inside. I stopped caring.
Susan: God's healing is near. You have to ask and you have to want to get better.
Sarah: I'm going to try.
Do you hear what I hear?

Addiction is a terrible disease. The brain's ability to support conscious right vs. wrong choices is impaired. Her brain's message is only a craving unchecked by a conscience -- she'll do almost anything to satisfy the craving. Kicking the habit is nearly impossible without reprogramming and healing support. It will take time and vigilance.
Thank you for your prayers.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
