It's Complicated

Right. Left. Straight. Back-up. Stop.

You thought the absence of posts meant nothing's going on. Nope.

Sarah was in a partial hospitalization program but that didn't work. One of the rules says "no drug use!" and we all know how well those rules appeal to her.

That didn't work. BF was meeting her after program, she was skipping meds and taking opiates. Dang.

So:

On the eve of Kevin & Kate's wedding
On the eve of visiting family in Illinois
On the eve of Isa's graduation from nursing school
On the 3rd day of Susan's flu
....
we battled for hours to convince Sarah to return to the hospital to detox and stay for a few days while we chart another option (?)
Susan was the poster child for "No Enabling". That's a change.
....
she's in the hospital calling to make sure someone picks up her "stuff" at the hospital apartment.
Susan's going to stay home and finish recuperating. I'm gonna ski to Arlington Heights.

But things are good. She's warm. We'll see her on Christmas.
And she's alive and facing a harder detox b/c the seboxone will NOT be prescribed to ease her though. Good. She needs to feel the kick and perhaps another in the ....
